what am I doing now

just trying to do work

and complete each task

with the utmost care 

and if you're concerned

I may or may not have learned

let's just say 

I'll have to pay

for neglecting to study

and wanting to play

to get that 4.0 

I might have to stay always awake

for if I don't try

there's way too much at stake

anything less than my best

would be a sin

so let's just get to this test

so I can put the right answers in

I just have to go

that I've been studying and getting down

to work I go so don't mess around

who would have thought

that this girl could actually do work

first time in my life

besides biology ap freshman year

that I'm actually hardcore studying
